If you live, work, worship or attend school in Steele, Rice, Waseca
or Dodge Counties you can become a member of
HomeTown from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
Just a few things before you begin your first step toward membership......
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. To complete this application you will need to supply the following:
- Your Name
- Current Street Address (no P.O. Box Addresses, please) and Telephone Numbers
- Date of Birth
- Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number
- Valid, Current Driver's License or other State or Federally-Issued Photo ID.
Note: A copy of the ID must be forwarded to the credit union by mail, email or fax before the account can be approved.
- The above information must also be supplied for any joint owners you wish to add.
Because the information we require is private and personal, our online application utilizes advanced security technologies. Online applications for membership can only be accepted for consumer accounts. Applications for business accounts must be completed in one of our branch offices. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and a legal resident of the United States to open an account electronically. All applicants must meet Home Town Federal Credit Union standards for membership. Applications may be denied based upon information we receive from third party reporting agencies.
Please note: Our online membership application utilizes specially designed security questions to help verify each applicant's identity. Therefore, we advise that the applicant and joint applicant be present when completing the application. If either party is not available, we advise that you do not begin the application at this time.
The application process will time out after several minutes of inactivity. We strongly suggest that, after entering your personal information, you click the "Save incomplete application" prompt at the right side of the page to avoid losing the information you have entered. This will allow you to reopen the application for processing at a later time if necessary.
