Membership Eligibility

First Castle FCU  Your Banking Alternative - First Castle Federal Credit Union was established in 1934 to first serve the US Army Corps New Orleans District, and we have continually grown through the years with our member base.   As Your St. Tammany Parish Credit Union we serve everyone who lives, worships, works, attends school or volunteers  in St. Tammany Parish in addition to our Corps members. We are excited to be able to offer our banking products to all St. Tammany communities including: Madisonville, Mandeville, Covington, Folsom, Abita Springs, Lacombe, Slidell, Pearl River, and Sun. 


Family Members Are Welcome!

Your immediate family members and household members, by nature of their close relationships to you, can become Credit Union members also!  Even if you are an immediate family member of a person who is eligible for membership (and is not yet a member), you can still open an account!  Eligible family members include spouse & children, parents, brothers & sisters, stepchildren & stepparents, grandchildren & grandparents.

Due to the private and personal information required to open an account, our online application utilizes the safest internet security available.  Online membership applications can only be accepted for consumer accounts.  Applications for our business accounts would have to be completed at one of our branch locations. 


In order to establish membership, you must open a Share Account with a minimum of $5.  You will have the option of opening other accounts such as Checking, Christmas Club, etc.  You can fund your account as an electronic transfer from another financial institution also by dropping off or mailing in your opening deposit.  To complete an electronic transfer you will need the account number and routing/transit number of the account you are transferring from. 


We will send you an email reminder of the User ID you create that allows you to retrieve your saved application.  Please keep this email containing your User ID for your records.  For security reasons, if you forget your User ID you will not be able to retrieve it and any prior information saved will be lost and you will have to begin a new application process.
