Welcome to Machias Savings Bank's online account opening process. 

To save yourself time and effort, please save your application in the beginning to ensure your information is not lost.  If you pause for 20 minutes (without entering any information) while completing the application, the session will time out and you will need to start over.

You will need to have the following information to complete the application process:

1. Your Social Security Number.
   
2. Your Driver's License or ID card issued by a state DMV.
   
3. Information about any loans or mortgages that you may have to help us confirm your identity.
   
4. For electronic funding, you will need your current bank account and routing numbers.
   
5. If applying for a joint account, you will need the Secondary Applicant's name, Social Security Number, and Date of Birth.
   

Note: All applicants must be U.S. residents and at least 18 years of age

For security reasons, we allow residents that live within the State of Maine or current customers to open accounts online.  If you would like to become a customer and live outside the State of Maine, please give us a call at 1-866-416-9302.
