Please note: All requests are reviewed for approval. Completing an online membership application request does not guarantee you will be approved for membership. If approved, all account documents and disclosure information will be mailed to the address provided in the membership application and accounts will not be opened until all required documents are received and minimum funds are deposited to fund the account. Members and joint owners must be at least 13 years of age to apply for any checking account. If you would like to open an account for a minor (under 12), the online membership application must be completed by a parent or guardian over age 18 and the account will be opened as a custodial account. Unlike other financial institutions, we are not open to the general public, but there are multiple ways to qualify for membership including Investment Area Membership Eligibility. If you or your family members live, work, worship, conduct business or attend school within this geographical Investment Area, you are eligible for membership. Membership Eligibility:
When you become a member of SwRCFCU, you are ALWAYS a member, even if you move, retire or change jobs. Your family members are eligible too, and qualify for the same membership benefits. Eligible members include:
- Employees, retirees or members of a SEG (a company or organization that offers its employees members the ability to join), Churches and Organizations within our Field of Membership, just click here for our listing of SEGs.
- Family members of active CU members: spouses, parents, step-parents, legal guardian, children, step-children, step-sibling, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandchildren, adopted children and domestic partners.
- Persons who live, work, worship, or attend school in, and businesses, and other legal entities located within our defined Investment Area in San Antonio, TX.
